Pack 182 Cub Scouts of Three Bridges NJ

Pack 182 cub scouts of Three Bridges NJ has a great web site and we hope parents enjoy all the new features. Our goal is to make it easier to communicate, find information and register for events.

Three Bridges Reformed Church needs our help!

Posted on Nov 20 2015 - 7:36pm
Our pack has volunteered to rake the leaves at the church so that the grounds look nice for the upcoming holidays.  This is generally the only service project we do for our chartered organization so we are setting a goal of 100% participation this year.  We'd like to see every scout give an hour of time to help out.
Only 32% of the Pack has registered so far.
There are two opportunities to participate this year.
Sunday, November 22nd from 2pm to 5pm
Saturday, December 5th from 9am to Noon.
We only ask that you attend for an hour on either day (not both), but if you wish to stay longer or attend both days, we would certainly appreciate that too.  The greater the participation, the lighter the workload for everyone.
Hot beverages and other refreshments will be provided by the pack.  More information is available on the registration page (links above).

Webelos Earn First Responder Adventure

Posted on Nov 16 2015 - 10:13am

Webelos from both patrols joined with 200 scouts from around the region this weekend in the First Responder training at Mercer County Community College.  The boys were able to do a ton of hands-on experiences.

All the fun of Cub Scouts Day Camp compressed into one day!  Archery, BB guns, slingshots, fire starting, rock wall climbing, a secret mission for General Washington and more!  Additionally, we learned a bit about the Revolutionary War from the Sons of the American Revolution, which included a musket and canon firing demonstration.  Did I mention the knife and tomahawk throwing?

Community Service Day

Posted on Oct 7 2015 - 10:16pm

The scouts and their families who participated in this year's Community Service Day at Spruce Run collected 70 bags of garbage and recycling from the picnic areas.  This yearly event brings together scouts from all over Hunterdon County and although the turn-out was relatively low this year (blame the weather) nearly 50% of the scouts were from our very own Pack 182!  Community Service is a big part of scouting and we all thank you for your help.

10,000 Pounds of Corn!

Posted on Aug 17 2015 - 9:57am

Scouts from Pack 182 joined several other Packs from the surrounding area at America's Grow-a-Row farm last week to help harvest corn.  Over 10,000 pounds of corn was collected in just 2 hours!  We were told this was the most ever picked on Scout Day.  All the food was donated to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and goes directly to families right here in our state.  Here is a quote from the thank-you letter we received from the president of America's Grow-a-Row.

"Thank you for bringing your scout troops and children out to volunteer today. Not only have they helped to provide healthy food for others, but they have learned that their efforts matter. We can all make a difference in the lives of our neighbors."
