10,000 Pounds of Corn!

Posted on Aug 17 2015 - 9:57am

Scouts from Pack 182 joined several other Packs from the surrounding area at America's Grow-a-Row farm last week to help harvest corn.  Over 10,000 pounds of corn was collected in just 2 hours!  We were told this was the most ever picked on Scout Day.  All the food was donated to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and goes directly to families right here in our state.  Here is a quote from the thank-you letter we received from the president of America's Grow-a-Row.

"Thank you for bringing your scout troops and children out to volunteer today. Not only have they helped to provide healthy food for others, but they have learned that their efforts matter. We can all make a difference in the lives of our neighbors."

Scouts conquer the Columbia Trail

Posted on Aug 9 2015 - 10:09pm

Twelve scouts, along with parents and several siblings and friends rode 5 miles on the Columbia Trail today.  It was a great day for a bike ride and everyone had a blast.

Congratulations to our first 3 scouts to earn the Summertime Activity Award: Matthew Calo, Jake Hample and James Lynch!

Take a Hike

Posted on Aug 8 2015 - 9:11am

Come out for a pack family hike on Saturday, 3pm at Deer Path Park.  This will likely be the last pack event for the "summer" (June-August) which counts towards the Summertime Activity Award.  As a service to our town, we will also do any necessary trail clean-up as we go.
